The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel
The first book in what might be a trilogy, this was a fantasy centering on two teenage twins, Sophie and Josh. Sophie works at a coffee house and her brother Josh works across the street at a used bookstore. One day Josh witnesses the kidnapping of his boss’s wife. He later finds out that she’s been kidnapped for a secret formula that makes a person immortal. Sophie and Josh go on a quest to request Nicholas’ wife and meet all sorts of interesting people along the way.
