Nutti's muses

I read little bits of everything.  My mystery preference is cozy.  I enjoy science fiction, but do not have a science background.  And I'm a hobbit from wayback before I was old enough to vote.

Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, Book 5)

Silver Borne - Patricia Briggs Loved it! Mercy tangles again with the fae. Fae watch out. We learn more about Mercy & Adam's relationship. Love conquers all!

The Tyranny of Dead Ideas: Letting Go of the Old Ways of Thinking to Unleash a New Prosperity

The Tyranny of Dead Ideas: Letting Go of the Old Ways of Thinking to Unleash a New Prosperity - Matt Miller An intriguing & well written book about why Americans (people, businesses & government) hold on to ideas that have run it's course. Miller talks about the innovations he'd like to see coming from Europe & Asia particularly in the interest in public schools. His ideas are not for the faint of heart.

The Wedding Quilt (Elm Creek Quilts Novels)

The Wedding Quilt (Elm Creek Quilts Novels) - Jennifer Chiaverini This felt like it might be the last book in the series. We're celebrating the marriage of one of Sarah & Matt's kids, so this ages the characters 20 some years. It was good to see all my old friends and some new ones as well.

Frill Kill (A Scrapbooking Mystery)

Frill Kill - Laura Childs This is the latest in a cute cozy series set in New Orleans about a scrap booking shop in the French Quarter. A very enjoyable series currently dealing with the aftermath of Rita & Katrina.

Kindred in Death (In Death Series)

Kindred in Death (In Death, #29) - J.D. Robb, Susan Ericksen Eve gets called in on her day off for the murder of a Captain's teenage daughter. Not only the murder, but the brutal rape of the Capt daughter in his very well secured home. Eve calls the team together including her husband Roarke, the grief stricken Morris, the cohabs Peabody & McNab, Dr. Mira, & of course Somerset. Somerset, takes this murder personally as it reminds him of the death of his own daughter. Also the wedding of Louise & Charles being held @ Roarke & Eve's home.

Explosive Eighteen: A Stephanie Plum Novel (Stephanie Plum Novels)

Explosive Eighteen - Janet Evanovich I would give it 2.5 if I could. Still no Ranger Morelli conclusion. I'm ready for the series to end.

Backstage Stuff (Jane Wheel Mysteries)

Backstage Stuff (Jane Wheel Mysteries) - Sharon Fiffer Not as enjoyable as the earlier Wheel due to circumstances in Jane's personal life. She and Tim are clearing out an old family home. When Tim finds a script from the former owner he decides to put on a production of the play. All heck breaks out. We do learn lots of interesting things about Nellie Jane's mom before her wedding to Don.

Wreath of Deception (A Craft Corner Mystery)

Wreath of Deception - Mary Ellen Hughes This was a good 1st novel in the series. A solid whodunit mystery. Enjoyed the characters and setting. A must for cozy mystery lovers.
